CFR or BLS?
CFR is the PHECC-certified Cardiac First Response course. BLS is certified by the Irish Heart Foundation. Both courses share very similar learning outcomes. Check with your agency to ensure you are booking the correct course.
Who are PHECC?
The Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) regulates the emergency medical service (EMS) profession in Ireland. PHECC is an independent statutory agency with responsibility for standards, education and training in the field of pre-hospital emergency care. PHECC also maintain a statutory register of EMS practitioners. They certify the CFR and FAR courses.
